Hermione because a character people become attached to, as they realize just who she is and the past that haunts her. Her road to changing her appearance, accepting her house, gaining unsuspected friends, and making everything perfect for the Yule Ball leaves people quite attached to the depicted Hermione. Her feelings for Ron of course begin the story but growing endearment for our favorite blonde Slytherin (whose identity will remain secret until the Ball scene) certainly ends it.

I don’t just write Dramione (even though they are still my OTP) and I try to make each story different from anything I’ve read myself. To create a more believable plot, I wrapped my fic around JKR’s original text. I have to admit: the beginning isn’t great. But it’s morphed over the chapters into something that I’m quite proud of and am hoping to finish it soon :)
